My hair stylist just recommended it for me as I have frizzy hair. When I saw the price, I was shocked. But I would love to have hair that is smooth and not as frizzy & big. Are they really worth it?
Yes. However, I stopped getting them because they all have formaldehyde in them, even the ones that purport not to do so. Too bad, because it cut down my frizz by 90%+.
yikes!! I'd rather have frizzy hair than cancer!
Yes, they work. I have long frizzy hair and had the first summer of wash n' go (almos). About 90% easier than before.
Yes but you know what's better? A hair mask of coconut oil and honey. Weekly.
They work, but everyone's def of "worth it" is different. In addition to giving you frizz-free hair, they also give cancer to you and your stylist. Possibly others in the salon. Believe it or not, some women think frizz free hair is worth it. But that is Darwin at work.
Do you make your own or can I buy this somewhere? |
Yes,do tell - I'm curious too! |
Totally worth it!
I get a Keratin treatment in June to get me through the frizzier months. I wash my hair daily so it doesn't last more than a few months for me, but the ease of hair are in what used to be the worst months for me makes it worth it.

I am a total jewfro girl, with thick, frizzy hair, and a lot of it. My hair grows really quickly, which is wy I didn't want to do keratin. I felt like I'd pay a lot of money and it wouldn't last.
I do coconut oil. It cuts down on frizz and makes my hair shinier. I slap a quarter-sized dollop of oil on my fingertips, rub together to warm it (it turns from white goop to oil), then slather it in my hair, which I've sectioned off. Once I've done all my hair, I clip it up and let it set for at least an hour, if not several. THe longer the better. I smell like a macaroon. Then I get in the shower, shampoo and condition as usual, and then style as usual. MUCH less frizz, and shinier. Sweat makes the frizz come back. Everything I read said if you do coconut oil you don't need to condition, but I do need to. |
How long does the coconut oil treatment last? This would be wonderful, I'd love this to work!
I'm also going to try the coconut oil!
Do you buy the coconut oil at the grocery store? I think I've seen some at Whole Foods or Trader Joes.
I think they work but they make the hair very very flat. A good friend did it and regretted it but most seem to love it. Some are more extreme than others.
