I received a very short brochure in the mail today about a so-called new Strategic Planning Framework for MCPS. The brochure is a waste of paper and tells me nothing. It is pure corporatespeak. I looked on the MCPS website, and it sounds like it is possibly a replacement for 7 steps to college readiness. What the heck is this about?

Was wondering this also. Not much info in what I read either. |
IMO, Starr changing things to put his "stamp" on MCPS. |
combination of Common Core and Social-emotional components |
But to what end? How will this be put into practice? |
Just came on to ask the same question. |
It seems to be a mission statement, just like any other large organization has. It's corporate speak because MCPS is like a large corporation. |
How much money did they spend in mailing out that brochure in 7 languages that says basically nothing? |
I got that also and reread it a few times because I kept thinking that I was missing something! |
LOL! I was wondering that also. Was that really worth translating into other languages?? I doubt it means any more in any of then. What was the point of spending money on stamps to send that garbage out by mail. Why not just post it online and save some trees? |
I'm actually a bit insulted that they think MCPS parents will be impressed by this corporatespeak bullsh&t. |
You get what you pay for!!! |
Considering what I pay in taxes, I should be getting more than a useless flyer translated into 15 different languages. |
I totally agree. I read it 4 times and couldn't believe this flyer told me absolutely nothing. Money was wasted to translate it into 6 other languages and mailing it. DH couldn't understand how why I was so appalled but glad I wasn't the only one with this reaction. |
