Great local winter 10k?

Any recommendations for your favorite race? I am looking for December and possibly February as well.

Jingle All the Way. It's usually in mid-Dec.

Thanksgiving is late this year (almost December) so you might want to consider some of the Thanksgiving 10ks. My kids did the Bethesda Turkey Chase last year.

Jingle All the Way

Bethesda Turkey Trot or the Alexandria Turkey Trot 5-Miler. Bethesda's is HILLY, Alexandria's is flight. Both are very friendly races.

Also, we love doing the Fairfax Four Miler on New Year's Eve.

Just FYI, the Jingle All the Way race is now an 8K (or was, last year at least). I PRed at that race when it was still a 10K, was sad to see it get shorter.

The Turkey Chase is also awesome, though definitely hilly.

I should have been more specific. These races all sound great, though I have a turkey trot I am pretty loyal too already. I am specifically looking for a 10k so I can work on a time goal. Could do a fast or a more challenging course, but generally want a well-run race that will have accurate distances and timing. Fun is good too, of course.

Disney has a bunch if events in january. I know it's not local but you could make a short vacation out of it.
