I think I'm going to pretend to be Russian. I'm drawn to the Russian ballet, afterall. So I think as long as I identify with a culture, I can claim it as my own in these modern times.

What do you think, should I become a Russian or something else?

I assume all their staff have to sign nondisclosure agreements. But any Spanish nanny would be able to tell within a few minutes that she isn't Spanish and doesn't speak Spanish anywhere close to a native speaker. I wonder how that conversation goes when the nannies ask about her background.

I think she’s just really good at accents. According to other posters with knowledge of Spain’s regional accents, hers is quite good when speaking Spanish. I’m also extremely good at accents even though I only speak bits of other languages. But I do it extremely well so can fool people into thinking I am more fluent than I am. (For the record I have always admitted the truth—that I’m just good at picking up accents)

I just mean, she is doubling down on the ruse even though it’s obvious now that she should in no way have English accented with Spanish. Next level!!!

This is pretty good, but DEFINITELY read the note they have here in the article. The presenter messes it up when she says Latino/a is people from an area colonized by Spain. Brazil being the largest and most glaring outlier (colonized by the Portuguese), there are a host of countries that don't fit this hispanic description but that are clearly Latino, definied by the geography vs. language. The presenter here flubs it a bit too much for this to be the best explanation.

You're missing what those women have in common. They have completely capitalized on their marriages because they have so little else going on in their own lives. Contrast them with someone like Clooney's wife or Steve Martin's wife.

Indeed. But Chrissy isn't quite so bad although she's just an idiot. The other thing the women have in common is the guys were all emotionally and or mentally fragile. John Legend is fine and always has been.
