VHSL Boys Lacrosse 2026 Season

LB game vs Robinson was ugly. Cheap shots galore by LB guys against Robinson. Refs had their hands full. People like to poke fun at Robinsons slow and steady play. Well... it worked last night and they rose above the street fight LB was looking for and good lacrosse prevailed. "Couple of lucky goals" got the job done effectively. The LB goalie played his heart out and made so many huge saves. Without him it could have been 20-2. Kudos to that kid.

14-4 regular season and 13-2 playoffs is SO DAMN LUCKY! Robinson is always just smoke and mirrors and luck, even the undefeated 22-0 team in 2024. Can you even appreciate how lucky a program has to be to go undefeated and win as many state titles as Robinson has?

First time I’ve seen the refs eject a kid after the game was over…should have happened much earlier as same kid was involved in about 1/2 of the cheap shots. LB goalie was outstanding or it would have been a 15+ margin.

Typical Lake Braddock. Been playing dirty for decades now. Their team spirit and sports culture is disgusting. If they know they can't fairly win a game, they play dirty and try to hurt their opponent. Their lacrosse coach should be ashamed of himself. In fact their entire athletic department and principal should be. Poor dirty losers.

I’m same age, played same timeframe. Public school teams today would annihilate good teams I remember from 25yrs ago. This argument that teams 10yrs ago are better because they had more D1 commits…yeah US Lacrosse was also 35% smaller nationwide and the number of D1 schools hasn’t significantly changed. More high schools, more kids play hs today, more kids play club and are across the board as a group more talented, teams today are generally better than they were 10yrs ago. Perhaps privates are pulling more in and stashing guys on rosters but I don’t buy that Nova lacrosse is worse today than 10yrs ago. There is just a lot more competition nationwide for D1’s exceedingly small roster space, if that’s your yardstick.

Not a Robinson parent but agree with this. LB plays undisciplined lacrosse that is reckless if not dirty. I don't know if anyone tracks penalties, but I'd be surprised if they weren't the leader by a wide margin.

Haven’t seen Robo this year yet, can someone shed some light on the “slow and steady play”? Just looking at scores they seem to put up plenty of goals, but again, I haven’t seen them so I am curious
