http://www.examiner.com/article/naacp-demands-doj-secret-service-investigate-rodeo-clown-incident August 14, 2013 The Missouri chapter of the NAACP is demanding the Secret Service and the Department of Justice conduct an investigation into an incident where a rodeo clown at the Missouri State Fair donned an Obama mask before being chased by bulls, the Washington Times reported Wednesday. According to the NAACP, the clown is guilty of inciting violence against President Obama. βThe activities at the Missouri State Fair targeting and inciting violence against our president are serious and warrant a full review by both the Secret Service and the Justice Department," wrote Mary Ratliff, NAACP Missouri state president. "Incidents involving individuals acting out with extreme violent behavior in movie theaters, schools, churches, political appearances, and outdoor events in general speaks volume to the irresponsible behavior of all the parties involved with the incendiary events at the Missouri State Fair,β she added. The clown who performed the act has been permanently banned from performing at the Missouri State Fair and officials have mandated sensitivity training for future performers. Ratliff also condemned the state for funding the fair. "Our legislature has failed to support Medicare Expansion in Missouri, has consistently attempted to dismantle our Human Rights Commission, fail to adequately fund urban schools β [which] are predominantly African American β yet they are subsidizing the Missouri State Fair to the tune of $400,000. We are calling for the subsidy to stop," she added. |

So joking about threatening to kill white people is just dandy. Because Foxx is black? Or because threatening murder is legal? What do you think would happen if a white person joked about threatening to kill black people on SNL? Nothing? Same thing? More? Less? Donning a mask is the same as threatening death? |

| This has gotten out of hand. This was NOT a racial thing. The rodeos have done this with other Presidents--if anything it is racial to leave Obama out. That said, I don't like it. |
