Falls Church City Elementary school vs. Montgomery County ES

My son is in the 1st grade in a very good school in Chevy Chase, MD. This reading system is killing me (their grading 1-16). I got the impression that kids are just beeing pushed to read and to do math all the time.
On the other hand, I've heard, that in Falls Church they have PE classes for the 1st graders every day. Are they the same on reading and math? If they are different, I consider moving there...

We live in Arlington so I don't have direct experience, but Falls Church City schools are supposed to be among the best around. I think part of the reason is that it's a very small hands-on school district, without the huge bureaucracy of Montgomery County. If you move, just be sure to move to FC CITY, rather than Falls Church - FC schools fall under the jurisdiction of Fairfax County.

You might even want to consider Arlington, just because of the wide variety of school options offered for elementary school students.
