My son's wonderful daycare provider is moving from Arlington to Springfield (22152) September 1st. The relocation is a 30+ minute detour for me and the other 2 families to add to our commute otherwise I wouldn't be writing this post!

Her name is Shahnaz Begum and she currently watches three boys ranging from 9 months to almost 2 years. She has raised all the boys since they were approximately 10-12 weeks old. Hard to believe another mother would say that a day care provider has "raised" her boys.

Not the OP but considering some children are in a childcare providers care 9-11 hours a day, in essence, yes, the provider is helping to "raise" those children.

Afterall, who is helping them learn things, potty training them, etc? It isnt all on the parents, esp since most parents are looking for the best daycares for their children. Not sure why you would take any offense at her saying the provider is raising the children in care.
