| Have gift certificate or would never stand on line. Frien is coming tonight with daughter whose birthday it is...so thought I would use it. Is there a better time during the day? Should I head to Bethesda store instead. Is line shorter? |
| Place your order online then you don't have to stand in the line. You get to walk right in for pickup. |
| It's always been worth it for me to pay the $10 delivery charge. I'm in the 'burbs and it's just too much of a pita to drive there, pay for parking, and waiting in line. |
| Later on a weeknight -- like 8 or 9 -- I haven't had waits in Bethesda. |
| Are they really that good? |
| There's never a line in Bethesda. I usually pass by before noon, and there aren't crazy lines in Georgetown. |
They are not. I n fact, there are at least 2 places in walking distance that are much better. |
You pay $10 to have Georgetown Cupcakes delivered to your house? It's confirmed - the suburbs do make people stupid. (Though I suppose there's a chicken and egg argument to be had here.) |
|
I do sometimes see lines in Bethesda.
The cupcakes are good---but not great (imo.) |
Which do you like? |
Baked and Wired. |
| They suck and support obamacare. Glad the whole business is going bankrupt. |
Thought they were doing really well. Was that just in the beginning when they first opened? |

people have stopped being stupid and paying 20x for something you can make at home |
That article isn't about Georgetown Cupcakes. Business still seems to be good in Gtown and Bethesda. Don't know how IRS translated to NY, Boston, LA, etc. OP Bethesda usually isn't too bad except on a sat or Sunday afternoon. And definitely just order ahead if you want to be sure. |
