| what is your experience? What is the culture like? Comp and benefits? |
|
What do you expect?
Its discouraged to discuss anything outside the firm The comp is obviously top bar You will work commensurate hours |
| Why so super secret? |
Seriously, you have to ask? |
|
dcum is the worst place to ask about carlyle culture.
go to a financial forum instead. wso, wilmotts, etc. if you are a candidate who is interviewing and in the industry you already know/have a good idea. if you are not, you have almost no chance of getting in so there's no point in asking. |
|
If you have to ask about PE you won't be working there anytime soon. The 22yo ugrads at Wharton and Harvard going into IB are already ahead of you.
|
| They made me do...bad things.......... |
What is PE? Chill, people. Maybe, OP is interviewing to be a receptionist. |
PE is what Mitt Romney worked in |
| Isn't the Carlyle group a restaurant chain or something? |
| Carlyle is the devil, no? |
PE= private equity |
| the mass media says Carlyle and Bain are BAD so that's what I think. |
| Please, PPs, enlighten us little people about Carlyle Group. I am not interested in working there, not an a financial field, but I'm curious what makes it different, special, exclusive. I know of at least one person, a top exec at a big corporation, who went to Carlyle and was flushed out quickly because he wasn't accomplishing what they wanted. I know of another person who's a CFO at a Fortune 500 company who was at Carlyle for a few years. Makes in the mid 7 figures, so I get that Carlyle pays well and is exclusive. But what else? Please, tell us, the groundlings want to be entertained by the high and mighty. |
| Environment is brutal. Pay is amazing. |
