Inexpensive Baby Announcements

I am starting to think about baby announcements and go through what our friends have done. I have friends who just sent an e-mail. Other friends who sent e-mails, but also sent the announcement as part of their thank you notes. Friends who just got the names of the kid on the thank you notes. And then those who did websites. Some did traditional stationary and others did photo announcements on photo paper. I even saw some magnets for announcement of babies.

We just ordered some cute paper, with a border and ribbon. I "stamped" a cute animal on it. When our daughter was born, we printed out the announcements on our pre-made announcements and included a picture in the envelope. Also, pre-address the envelopes so you have less to do after the baby comes.

With almost all of the photocard sites, like Walmart, they have baby announcement cards. The Walmart ones run about $.33 each if you order online.

Tinyprints.com is the best, I use them for birth announcements and holiday cards. They are cheap and have great customer service. Congrats on your baby!

I am a new mom, and meant to post to this thread earlier. We are thrilled with the work Pete did for us. Here is the link:

We wanted something a little different, and loved what we he did for us.

Also, if you have a few free moments before your little one arrives, I would suggest getting your list together now, and addressing the envelopes when you are sitting down and not up and down with a newborn.

Costco has some great photo announcements. I think you get 50 plus envelopes for about $15.
