International Studies Programs

Anonymous
Can anyone shed any light on which of the SLACs has a good internataionl studies program? Thinking is to captialize on solid foreign langauge skills from high school along with writing and possible move in post-graduate internal law? Legal world in todays market is definitely "flat" but in the future...looks as if international law may be the future. Especially Euro.

Any contribuitn thoughts would be great1

TIA

I have no idea, and am not criticizing your approach - but just want to say that a student does NOT need to study international relations in college in order to go to law school and practice international law subsequently. Not saying yours shouldn't - but just that it is not by any means a requirement, or even necessarily the norm.

Middlebury has a strong international studies program.

You really think Europe is the place to go to practice law? It's deader than the US.

I'm not sure what "international law" the OP is referring to. Business and corporate? Patents? Trade? Criminal? I don't think that "international law" is a field in and of itself, therefore I don't think it's something you can prepare for by studying abroad or in any other way really.
