Best RE and clinic for high FSH and low AMH?

Anonymous
My FSH is 18 and my AMH is .3 and I have been diagnosed with DOR. who is the best RE in the DC area for me to see?

None of them are particularly good for hard cases. How old are you? Dr Sacks at Columbia Fertility will treat you. You might look into natural cycle IVF at Dominion, with Dr Gordon.

How old are you and who made this diagnosis?
With a reading of 21 for my fsh I was sent to an RE to discuss donor eggs. I was 29 and got pregnant 4 times within 2 years after that and carried to term twice

Dr D or Dr G at Dominion. I got pregnant naturally with a .3 and with NCIVF with .01 AMH.

These would be my local recs. Dr. Davis at CRMI in NYC if you don't want to mess around.

My FSH was 18 and AMH was low but DF treated me successfully with IVF, if you live in DC area I would try them first then move to CCRM if needed.

For the PP who recommended Dr. Davis, did you see him? If so, what was your experience with him?

I did see him after seeing Dr. G down here. We had other IF issues (PCOS, MF), but I do know that he is one of the best for DOR. It was a little challenging getting the first appt (he needs day 3 bloodwork done, old paperwork, etc. before the initial appt -- not all CRMI REs require all of that). And of course cycling out-of-town is a big time/money commitment, but in the end we did feel that it was worth it. We did finally have our first successful cycle up there. And are currently debating whether to go for #2.

Even though it is a PITA I would at least try to do a consult with him to get ideas.

Also, NCIVF might be a good option too. I'd also do a consult with Dr. G. That can happen pretty quickly. We didn't do NCIVF, but I did have a very good IF friend with DOR who did NCIVF and that did finally work for her (3rd attempt after 1 failed, 1 chemical).

Good luck, OP! I'm happy to answer any other questions if I can.

We did one round of NCIVF then moved on, but Dr G at DF was very supportive and they do all my local monitoring which is a big help. Currently we are trying round 2 at CCRM, ist was cancelled.

I'm at SG but after 2 failed IUI's and one cancelled IVF we need to move on. How hard is to get them to monitor you for another clinic?

This is 23:18 (not the OP). I've had four failed cycles - 2 at SG and 2 at CFA. I did a consult with Dr. D at Dominion but it was not a good fit and we did not cycle there. We also did countless IUIs. All BFNs. I have low AMH and normal FSH but we also have MFI issues.

I did the consult up at CRMI with Dr. Davis and I have to say I have been very impressed so far with how organized and on top of everything they have been. Each person I talked to knew my file and what testing was needed, coming up, etc. It was obvious that Dr. Davis had studied my file and knew my history.

That was NOT the case at CFA where everything was a mess and there was constant miscommunication and confusion. At SG I felt like there wasn't a whole lot of attempt to find out what the problem was after failures - their advice was to keep trying more of the same protocol.

I'm scheduled to do a cycle with CRMI this month into next with co-culture and a co-flare protocol. Although it is slightly more complicated, you can do a lot of your monitoring remotely. We are really hoping this is the successful cycle and would love to hear about success stories at CRMI to stay positive! I know there are no guarantees but there's always hope, right?

I am a Dr Davis success story. After three failed cycles and the DE talk at SG, I had twins w my first Dr Davis cycle. It was a night and day difference!!! I think it was a combo of coculture and Dr Davis's ability to adjust dosages to yr body.

Which local clinics will do monitoring if I decide to cycle with Dr. Davis at Cornell?
