Hiring mgrs... Tips on standing out from other candidates..

Other than the obvious, being prepared, good resume, any suggestions on "selling yourself" PowerPoint preeentation? What are sime examples of candidates who thought outside the box and got hired?

PowerPoint?? Unless they are asking for it, don't send a ppt

what do you mean by powerpoint? Showing up on interview day with a powerpoint presentation?

I worked at a job where I sat on an interview panel, and a power point presentation during the interview would have been perceived as strange.

The only time I have seen this done, or did this is when they asked for a sample presentation or seminar. In my field, the seminars are typical. In that case, PPT is appropriate. However, I can not imagine a one on one interviewer pulling out a laptop with a ppt presentation on it.
