Hello, we will be moving from DC to Falls Church (50 & Annandale Rd area) later this month and are looking for in-home day care or day care center recommendations for our 11 month old boy. Any help would be very much appreciated. Also, looking for possible nanny share (I have posted on that board as well).

You should look into Infant Toddler Family Day Care- they "manage" a network of in-home daycares and will help you find one

Hi,

I saw your post. We live about 5 minutes south of the intersection you mentioned, and our daughter attends a wonderful in home day care in Annandale that will have an opening starting in the first week in September. Barb has been caring for my daughter since she was three months old (she is now 3 1/2) and we all absolutely adore her. We were referred to Barb by our next door neighbor (who is an elementary school teacher in Fairfax County) who has sent both of her children there as well. From my very first conversation with Barb, I was taken with how much she adores the children, and that has proved true each and every day since. Barb has a fenced in backyard with play equipment, an abundance of toys and dress up clothes, and best of all, a plethora of craft projects that she does with even the smallest kids in her care. We are truly grateful that Barb is part of our lives. I can't say enough great things about her.

Her fees are very, very reasonable and she is open from 7am to 6pm.
