Our child will be 1 year old when he attends. I've visited all four daycares and liked them in different ways. I would really love to know your experiences with these day cares, if anyone would not mind sharing? For Karasik, we'd also love to know how long it takes with drop off around 7am in the morning and the traffic down to get to the beltway. If you'd like to share in private, my email is hh002m at gmail

We use Karasik with our toddler, and we've been really happy so far. This is our third daycare we've used, and it's by far the best. After just a month, everyone knows our son's name, they send photos regularly of the fun the kids are having, and DS reports back on his "new friends." It's really great.
I drop DS off around 7:15 usually, and traffic down Sligo Creek Parkway and then across Forest Glen Road to Georgia is usually quite smooth. The only hiccup is that I often sit through two light cycles to turn left onto Georgia. |

Our toddler is also at Karasik and we love it. He's been there since he was 4 months old and have been in three rooms so far and each one is better than the last. As the PP said, everyone knows his name, the staff seem to genuinely love the kids and their jobs and we get photo updates almost daily in the summer showing all the fun activities they partake in. The building is definitely showing its age but we figure it's not about how fancy the facilities but the experience our son has. And he sure seems to love going to school every morning.
I don't usually do drop-off but when I do it's closer to 8:30 and traffic getting to the beltway isn't a problem. So if you're going around 7am you shouldn't have any problem at all. |
| We used SSPC and were very happy. It's generally a very warm environment with caregivers who are happy to be there. There is a preschool option as well, which is convenient for some, but we didn't take advantage of it. |
