Private & Independent Schools
| How do you think admissions for new 6th graders will be affected at the school they choose? Will the AD have to keep in mind how the new admits, particularly the girls, round out the older Obama? Will all the limited spaces be taken up by the new administration? |
| It will probably increase applications for that grade, even if the parents have no idea what the curriculum or other particulars of said chosen school. |
| Look at it this way: less competition at the schools not chosen. |
|
it's only one slot gone
but I think applications will be brutal for 6th and 3rd |
No. Just more applications at the "chosen" school. Same number of slots. Many will apply, few will be chosen, and the rest will go elsewhere, as they would have if the new Pres didn't have kids. |
| Oh Good Lord. Don't you people have anything else to do??? |
| Since you need to start the applications process now, it probably means more applications for all the schools on what people think is the short list (not that I pretend to know what that is, and you all shouldn't either!). |
Right??!?!??! YOU ARE NOT GETTING IN. IF YOU ARE WONDERING IF YOU WILL, YOU WILL NOT. Now, get a life people. In fact, withdraw your app so that I can have a better chance. |
LOL - This post is funny |
| I had planned on looking at GDS and Maret for dd since last year. Now I will seem like one of the parents who just want to 'see' where the Obama girls will go. But what's worse is that now my dd's 'competition' for enrollment has gotten that much more. |
Maybe that won't be the perception from the AD's if you got your application in early (September, October) versus post election when surely the frenzy started. |
