Have no clue where I should go w/ career

Anonymous
Actually don't have a career but trying to establish one. For the past ten years I worked as a contractor for various govt agencies & never crossed over. Was a good worker but was terribly bored. So now... I'm like wtf do I do? So I've been putting my eggs in all my baskets of interest. Nursing starting w/ emt & teaching high school English starting enrolling in school w/ applying to charter schools. Who knows where I will end? Has anyone been this confused w/ their life and it worked out Or should I just slit my wrist now?

How old are you? And, do you have a family - husband and kids?

I don't think that is a very good way of doing things. Considering it is August, nursing school likely wont' come first. Do you have a teaching degree or just applying to schools to make this step? Again, it is August. Don't know much about becoming an EMT, but I'd bet this is likely the first one you'll be able to start doing. Why don't you do some more research into it? What type of nursing programs are you looking at? What makes you want to be an EMT/nurse/teacher? The way you are doing it does not seem well thought out, which is probably going to set you up for failure.

Let me try to make sense of your OP.

You've applied to nursing school. ADN or BSN programs? or LPN?

You've applied to take an EMT course

You're trying to become an English teacher so you are applying to charter schools...but it doesn't sound like you have experience or even a teaching certification to help you get a job.

Have you actually thought any of this through and done research?
