Where to stay on 95 on the way south....

| We're going to split up our drive to Willmington, NC, leaving DC in the evening, then staying over somewhere along the way. Any recommendations? South of Richmond? |

I do this all the time. We drive most of the way (about 265 miles) to Selma NC. We have stayed at the Super 8 there (indoor pool)(Exit 95) and one of the hotels just behind there (cant remember name of it). I have also stayed at Days Inn in Kenly (exit 106) and Econo Lodge (exit 106 as well) There is a continental breakfast at each of these, all have pools. Exit 106 has a big truck stop there.
The following morning, only takes about 2 hours to get to wilmington (my parents live just outside of Wilmington in Southport and I have been doing this for years because while I love traveling at night, I HATE driving on Interstate 40 alone or with the Kids. |
