I apologize in advance for the TMI topic....
I am having a c-section due to prior medical issues. Do I need to make sure that I am completely hairless down there? Or am I imagining that the incision is much lower than it actually is, and the presence of some hair doesn't matter? Again, sorry for the topic. |
It doesn't matter. At all. Doctors used to shave you before a vaginal delivery but they don't anymore (and they used to do it themselves, not expect you to do it in advance). Just think -- doctors have patients of all different ages and backgrounds. Not everyone will have a Brazilian. It's totally fine to be au naturel, and if for some reason it wasn't, your doctor would take care of it. |
It doesn't matter. I had a regular (not full on hairless) bikini wax before my c-section, but just because I wanted to and figured I wouldn't have time after the baby was here!
The OB shaved the top part of my bikini area, under my belly, where they make the incision. I guess you could do it if you wanted to, but it really isn't necessary. |
No need to worry. The nurse shaves the upper portion of your pubic hair as part of the c/section prep. Usually the incision line is right along the hairline. |
