We are looking for good family day care center around pentagon city or east falls church? Anyone has recommendations? |
I liked Kaye's Kare in EFC. It's in a church. Wonderful teachers, wonderful curriculum. They put on a great show at the end of the year and my son still has warm thoughts of his experience there. I am bummed they don't take part timers anymore though. |
Try infanttoddler.com, they have a list of home providers. |
Hi,
I recently posted about an opening in my provider's home daycare, which is near Seven Corners. If you are interested, please feel free to email me at sandy@paiks.org. Here's my original post: Our wonderful home daycare provider will have an opening mid-November. Janet is licensed by Arlington County for 5 kids (she has children ranging from 1 to 2 years currently). Also, for those of you looking into daycare for next year, some of us will probably be moving into preschools over the course of the next year, so if you are planning to look for daycare sometime in the summer/fall of next year, you are welcome to inquire about it. She and her mother (who is her assistant) are both loving and careful caretakers, who treat our kids like family. We have been with her since my son was 3 months old (he is now 20 months), and we have been very happy with our daycare situation. I walked in one day to drop my son off, and they were all just sitting down in her backyard on a blanket to sing songs. It is a great number of kids, and they have all become such good friends. The only kids who have left her daycare have left due to other reasons (one of the current toddlers is moving to a daycare where he will be with his cousin; the last one left because of a job relocation). She is very flexible and is respectful of parents' requests and doing things "your way" if you have specific requests about how things are handled. In addition, her English is very strong, and we have found that the communication issue has been very important to us, especially when it comes to discussing medical and safety issues. A nice plus we have discovered is that her backyard has a little hillside, which has been great for the kids in developing their agility skills learning to walk up and down the hill. No need for a separate gymboree class on the weekend! In addition, we have used her as a sitter on occasional evenings and weekends, and that has been great as well since she often knows better than me how to handle my son. |
Did Kayes provide service to infant? I checked on their website, it seems that they only provide service for toddlers. |
