Daycare centers between Cleveland Park/Tenleytown and Downtown/Foggy Bottom to recommend?

Hi there - we're first time expecting parents, baby due early January, and facing DC daycare with total dread. One of us works out in Arlington, one's on M & 17th downtown, both work in the private sector, and we live in the Cleveland Park area. Does anyone have any recommendations on daycare centers in DC in these general areas?

Any recommendations on places with possible shorter wait list times closer to our preferred April 1ish 2014 start?

Last, we don't have a car as parking is a nightmare, but expect we should get one for the daycare run and other needs...anyone have any success with having a baby but not having a car in DC?
