Momofuku

Going to NYC and want to try any of their restaurants. What food would you recommend?

honeycrisp kimchi, if they are offering it.

Skip it and go somewhere less hyped. Though in full disclosure I only went to Saam bar (several times) which was next to my apt. for 6 years. If you do go there, brussel sprouts are the most impressive dish on the menu. Pork buns are just meh.

I've been to ma peche and the noodle bar, and loved both. I am waiting to make the Bo saam recipe at home. Thought the milk bar was meh, but unlike a pp, loved the pork buns, and the shrimp!

What's up with all the hype about pork buns? Are they more like traditional Chinese pork buns? Then there are plenty of good authentic ones in this area too.

They are better than traditional pork buns! I'm Chinese and love the pork or duck buns places like momofuku, zengo, and the source make. Delicate, delicious goodness

OK, now I've got to try the Source again. (Hated zengo the one time I tried it--I'm just not that young, loud, and hip anymore. Actually, I don't think I ever was.)

Pp here - I hate zengo too but the food is good. At least it was tasty two years ago. Haven't been recently

Dim sum at the source is sublime
