Consolidating credit cards

I lost my job and been using credit cards eversince.i am going through financial difficulties and depression right mow. I do not know what to do anymore although i have never paid late on any of them yet. My savings is maybe good for another 5 months only. Is there any way to consolidate all my credit cards? How does this thing work? Is it worth it? Will the bank approve me if i do not have a job? Any recommendation a company I can call to help me with this? And will this affect my credit status if i apply for cc consolidation? Tia!
