Is labor imminent?

My first baby is due in 3 days. Yesterday I had an internal exam and I am 1-2 cm dilated and 80% effaced. Baby has not moved down much. Yesterday I was bleeding slightly and this morning lost my mucus plug. I know it's impossible to know for sure, but if you had to guess..am I going into labor soon?

My guess is yes, you'll be going into labor soon.

For me, early labor started a few hours before I lost the mucus plug and then a couple hours after that it was real, serious contractions. Good luck! Take a shower, blow dry your hair, and get ready to go!

No way to know. I walked around 80% and 4 cm dilated for 3 WEEKS. Lost my mucus plug TWO WEEKS before I delivered. Yes, I was a crazy person constantly wondering when it would happen. It got to the point where I started tempting fate by going to really crowded places where I'd be embarrassed about my water breaking, but even that didn't work. Good luck!

I lost my plug a couple days after my due date, and didn't go into labor for another week - ugh! I hope you go soon!

me too. 3cm and 80% for three weeks.... then water broke finally!
