The Ku Klux Klan has begun initiatives to start "neighborhood watch" programs across the nation.
The groups' decision to start a neighborhood watch program comes less than a month after neighborhood watchman George Zimmerman was found "not guilty" of murdering Trayvon Martin. Early efforts to recruit members for a watch program began in Springfield, Mo. where local resident received flyers from the Traditionalist American Knights of the Ku Klux Klan.
The flyers depict a man wearing a traditional Klan hood and logo, pointing a finger. The flyer promotes a "neighborhood watch" program with the phrase: "You can sleep tonight knowing the Klan is awake." Below the quote a number is provided encouraged those with "troubles" in the neighborhood to contact the Klan.

Well I certainly do not support this and it does not make me feel safe. I guess if you join the watch, you join the Klan.

I'm not for the Klan - being Jewish, I'd be on the top of their list along with black folk.

As the PP said, this is a reaction to the fear people have regarding crime. I live in a lovely area but there have been thefts. The criminals have been caught each time and without fail, they are black youth and young adults from MD (I live in VA). Ditto bank robberies in this town. I agree not all black people are dangerous. Far from it. But it has become enough of an issue that the Klan is trying to use that fear to become stronger.

That should scare the hell out of all of us - WAKE UP!
