Acupressure?

Has anyone tried acupressure instead of acupuncture? I've been using an acupuncturist who I like, but I hate the needles. I am trying to suck it up b/c it will hopefully help, but if I thought acupressure would be as effective, I'd switch to that in a second. Has anyone tried this?

My accupuncturist used both techniques and I found the pressure to be far more painful than the needles (and I am a total needle wimp!)
