We are looking for a SAT prep course/tutor for our DC, preferably located in Montgomery County, Md. Has any had any experience with C2? |
I got their flyer but went to PrepMatters based on a DCUM recommendation (I know, I know). DD has only had a few sessions but so far has said her tutor has been "AMAZING" and much better than any previous tutor she's had (which have been many). |
DD took the C2 diagnostic test and was told she would need 100+ hours of tutoring to raise her math score. She went to one session where a tutor was working with three kids on different worksheet-based reviews for the same price as a private tutor, then reviewed on her own and did more than well. They seem to be very quick to try to lock you into hours of studying. Kids say its a sham. |
I used to work there. The sales team ran the testing and pushed selling the hours.
Some of the tutors were really good and some weren't. The benefit is that you can try the different tutors and find ones you like. You might have to be a PITA but you can prob request them. You also don't have to buy all the hrs they recommend. They are very negotiable on everything because sales and customer service are the bottom line. |
How does C2 compare to the other SAT prep companies? How do you judge (in the beginning) how qualified and/or good a tutor is?
How is C2's program? |
