Itchy throat/ears stopped up -- help?

I'm getting to the end of my cold and, as usual, I'm getting an itchy throat/ear thing and the feeling that my ears are plugged up (like when you go on an airplane... but can't pop them). Any suggestions on what would treat either or both of those symptoms? They tend to last and last with me... Help!

I would try a Claritin-D

Just keep up the decongestants. It'll speed the reduction in inflammation, and reduce the likelihood of a secondary bacterial infection.

For the itchy throat, no, I wish I had a solution. Cough drops, or even just hard candies. The sugar helps a lot.

Try a nasal rinse, or a Neti....It might be from drainage plus being congested....It's worth a shot..Good luck, Hope you start feeling better.
