Infertility Support and Discussion
| My cycles seem to be off after my miscarriage. It's still relatively recent, but my first period was 7 weeks after the miscarriage - I am temping and believe that I ovulated, but got my period 3 days after I think I ovulated. My next cycle was 5 weeks, and I don't think that I ever ovulated. Is this normal or something that I should be concerned with? I've never been all that regular, and 5 weeks for a cycle is relatively typical, but I had always been able to see ovulation in the past. |
| I think this can definitely happen. It's frustrating, but I've heard that it can take as many as 6 cycles for periods to become completely normal, depending, too, on how far along in the pregnancy you were when the MC occured. |

I had several (early: 6 to 9 weeks) miscarriages and my cycles always took 3-4 months to come back to normal. It is very stressful, particularly if you wish to try conceiving again, but I think it is normal...
Good luck to you! |
| PP again... forgot to mention: you might want to try an ovulation predictor kit instead of charting your temperature. It can be a bit pricey if you test everyday, but I found it to be much more accurate... |
