| Seems like I always weigh 2-4lbs more in the couple days leading up to my period, even though I continue to eat healthy and exercise. Is this water retention? |
| Absolutely. |
| absolutely. Water weight. Bloat. My gyn. says to start taking Midol three days before to help control it. |
Thanks, will try this! I def have the bloat right in front. |
Not sure it's all bloat "right in front" for me more post baby belly.
Definitely shy away from high sodium foods b/f your period too. Salty foods help you retain more water. |
Yeah, but that's all I want right before my period.
|
| Yes, about 5 lbs, and I'm normally 115, so it's a decent percentage. |
| Yep. Heavier and my stomach sticks out. I'm very thin, so it's really noticeable. |
| That happens to me more mid month when I ovulate--wondering of anyone else notices that too? Wonder what the reason is... |
Op here. Me too. Noticeable so I make sure to wear clothes that disguise the area. Although it's probably not something people would really notice but makes me a bit self conscious! |
| Yes, for sure. |
| Yes. I usually gain a few lbs before my period. By day 2 or 3 it's usually gone. |
Midol is simply aspirin and caffeine. This is bizarre medical advice. |
And caffeine is a diuretic... Makes perfect sense. |
| I have the same mid-cycle experience. I actually seem to weigh a bit less right before/at my period. |
