How is Westland for Asperger kids?

Looked at Tilden but have no IEP and needs are not as pronounced. Need to know if school has supportive environment from those with experience. If you have a child there, are you wishing you had tried another school? Or, has it met/exceeded your expectations?

I have a child there -- not AS but other LDs, fairly severe. We've had a pretty good experience, and the school is overall very responsive to parent concerns. The teachers are hot and cold in terms of implementing accommodations, but I think that's true everywhere.

This is with a 504 though -- if you have no 504 or IEP, I would urge you to get one for any school. Otherwise, those less-responsive teachers don't have to accommodate your child. A formal plan will save you a lot of heartache!

I think I'll try for a 504 this year since I'm sure DS will need it in the coming years. Good to hear the school is responsive.Thx!
