Brunch for ten year old girl

Anonymous
Have a cousin coming in to town with a ten year old girl and eight year old boy. It's her birthday on Sunday. Where can they go for a fun brunch (maybe with activity?). Thanks!

Where do you live?

Serendipity or Daily Grill in Georgetown. Then the splash park.

OMG! There is a Serendipity in DC?! Where have I been?

Not sure if you are in this area, but you could do brunch at Eggspectation in Silver Spring and then play in the fountain outside (kids can play in their swimming suits). Eggspectation isn't very fancy or exciting, but it's kid-friendly and easy (and you probably don't need a reservation!).

Brunch for 10 year old girl and 8 year old boy and fun aren't really concepts that go that well together. I can't imagine taking them to a restaurant for fun.

Ted's Bulletin or Ping Pong Dim Sum.

What in particular makes Jakes good for a kid's brunch? Looked at website and it looks like a regular brunch menu and not anything special relating to kids. There was a "kids corner" listed on the website but no info on that page.

i love dim sum but most 8 and 10 yr olds I know do not. where do you live OP? original pancake house is always packed with families, and i think they do up a "birthday pancake."

Unless the resturant is chuck e cheese, pizza hut or mcdonalds, I agree kids are just not as into resturants.

They are staying in Arlington. Thanks for the idea for Serendipity. I thought of Comet Ping Pong, but it's far. But those are the kind of ideas for brunch, not necessarily fancy food, but a place that is fun for kids and serves brunch.

Keep em coming! Thank you!

IHOP in VA

Clydes in Chinatown and then a movie or bowling at Lucky Strike

No way for Teds. It's ok - but the wait is toooooo long. Just buy a pop tart to go.
