Members of our E-team don't do shit

It is so frustrating that many of us at my organization work really hard. And our executives make huge salaries, and delegate everything, *work* from home every Friday, and don't seem to have half the work stress we do. It seems the higher up you go, the less work you do here.

I think that's pretty common at many organizations. Like ours. I particularly appreciate that our ETeam is always working from home, but they don't want us to.

Do you guys work where I do? There's only about 15 of us here today and those that are here are the middle-level bust assers that get paid 10-20% of what the senior folks make.

E-teamer here... just walked in the door at 6:30pm CST on a Friday. Yes, I delegate work but I also bust my butt to make sure that everyone HAS work (that means enough work flowing in so everyone has A JOB) because if I'm doing your work then there's one too many of us doing the work and its not me.

I can't speak to your employers but I know that at least in my case I work really, really hard but a lot of what I do may not be obvious but it is necessary to keep things moving, work flowing in, customers happy, regulations met, etc.

BTW, my CIO husband isn't home yet. There's an 8:20 movie we want to see, last I heard he will try to meet us there.

Sigh... I think I need to try to get a job where you guys work, sounds like a better deal

The higher you go the less work you gotta do, it's common sense and its facts.

Yes, but do you bitch and moan about your subordinates working from home?

I find it extremely offensive that underlings and subordinates are on this thread complaining about their betters.

They are the BOSSES and without them you would not be able to feed or clothe your families. You should thank your lucky stars you have a job. It is not your place to worry about how they spend their Fridays. If they do take time off, or even "work" from home every Friday, I am sure they have earned it, and more. They are what keeps this country great.

Now, back to work!

My father used to work all hours at his higher-level position, and now that he's nearing retirement, he has decided to come home at 8pm and not work on weekends!!!
For the first time at this company, he's not the last one in the office!!!

I hope his subordinates don't criticize him for being lazy.

No, as long as they are productive. Yes, if I call them and they either don't answer or they do answer and its obvious they are not working. I'm on PTO today, not working from home lol!

You're born, you take shit. You get out in the world, you take more shit. You climb a little higher, you take less shit. Till one day you're up in the rarefied atmosphere and you've forgotten what shit even looks like. Welcome to the layer cake son.
