| In the DC , the charter application is time stamped and those students who are not selected in the lottery go to a wait list in order of application. How does it work in PG for the French and Montessori wait lists? Are they totally random or does the time of application matter? Are the wait lists published online like for DC charters? I am aware that these PG programs are "specialty programs" not charters but it is still a lottery with a wait list. After reading over the PG school website lottery FAQ it is not totally clear to me. They post one list which is a placement list. Essentially they go in order based on that. They don't send out or assign a wait list number. You look at your number on the placement list and kind of guess at your changes. They do not provide updates unless you get a spot. I think they can call from the placement list up through the end of September.
They say it is totally random. Who knows if that is the case. We applied on the first day it opened. We did not get a spot initially but did get a spot after the first round of placements. |
