SCUBA Diving in local quarries

I haven't been in the water for almost a year Any recommendations for local quarry diving so I can get back in the swing of things?

Also looking for a dive buddy, I'm PADI OW certified but planning on getting at least AOW.

There's one out near Charlottesville somewhere. Dutch Springs in PA isn't too bad a drive either.
