| My kid did a computer/video game camp through the montgomery county that was run by Funutation. It was a half day camp and was terrible, no organized. They had 3 computers for 18 kids on the first day. They got 6 by day 2, but did not have enough other equipment such as cameras. Also, the instruction was poor - they did not control the kids to make sure everyone in the teams had a chance. One kid on each team dominated (usually the oldest) and did most of the work. They gave kids a manual to figure out the scratch program rather than provide any instruction. I would not recommend Funutation! |
i attended several of funutation camps and i felt like i learned a lot. my mom told me about this post and asked me if i agreed. funutation was a lot of fun for me and the instructor was very good. in the post you made, it seems like you are talking about id tech camps. i also attended id and it was a mess. after i went 2 weeks at funutation my mom told me to try out id tech camps to see if they were better but it was very unorganized and i had to learn my watching videos on the website. one day we got to play quake on the computer but not even half of the computers had the game installed and i was left with watching everyone else play :'( i couldn't wait to leave and go back to funutation. oh but one cool thing id had that funutation didnt was prizes! i won a notepad for doing a great job! i definetely learned more things at funutation than at internal drive.

My son did ID TECH funutation camp past summer through MOCO recweb.
It was a hot mess. Horrible. Avoid. |

funutation has nothing to do with idtech. different businesses.
my son did a funutation camp years ago (when he was maybe nine) and he learned a bit, but not much. the mom of the one other kid we knew there (who actually had some background) thought the camp was terrible. |
| oh, I would recommend the scratch website. scratch is great. you don't need camp for that. |
Sorry u r right. It was robotics camp run by funutation. ID Tech is another business that also does robotics camp. |
| OP here - no mistake - the Scratch programming camp was Funutation - avoid it if they are offering it again this year. |
