anyone work for MCPS - Q on hiring process

Hi, if you work for MCPS (Montgomery County Public Schools), can you comment on what the hiring process is like? Does it take multiple rounds of interviews? Is it like the federal government, in terms of needing to meet a checklist of qualifications on paper as a major factor in hiring? Applied for some support staff positions, wondering what to expect.

No....typically one interview for the majority of applicants. Depending on the position, you do typically need to meet a checklist of qualifications i.e. college, various certifications, praxis exams for professional staff... less criteria need to be met for support staff positions such as para-educators.
