| Trying to come up with a good date night restaurant in downtown dc this weekend. Will be staying near McPhearson Square. We can obviously cab it if necessary, but looking for something in that general vicinity. Also have plans near the Navy Memorial, so a restaurant around there works well too. Thanks for any suggestions! |

Bibiana :14th / NY Ave
Navy Memorial: Source, Rasika, 701. Get moving on a reservation now. |
| You can also try fiola or casa luca. Both excellent. The new del campo is right in between those two spots in Chinatown. If it were up to me -- fiola hands down. But it is pricey |
|
Fiola, Siroc (right on the Square), Rasika, 701 (right next to Navy Mem.)
If you want a big ol' steak, Bobby Van's. But it's expensive, and I don't think a big ol' steak is really the date night thing. |
| Also, if your schedule ends up calling for light and very casual near Navy Mem. instead of "date night," Teaism is excellent. |
|
I love Rasika, and a friend of mine highly recommends 701. I've also been hearing good things about Fiola.
You could also do Proof or Poste, which are a few blocks away from the Navy Memorial in the general direction of McPherson Square. Both have good food and atmosphere. Or Graffiato, which is a little trendy, and very close to the memorial. |

I work in Penn Quarter. Agree with PPs who suggested Rasika (but good luck getting reservation), Fiola and 701.
Graffiato is loud, so I'd rule it out if you want romantic. Central is also close to the Navy Memorial. |
| The Source is also close to the Navy Memorial. |

Poste, Zola
I thought Fiola was ok, but not fabulous for the price. It is NYC prices. |
| The Source is a good suggestion. Rasika and Fiola are my favorites in the area. If you like sushi, Kaz Sushi Bistro is excellent, though slightly outside of your desired area (20th & I). I would suggest Tosca if none of these work out. Have fun! |
| Radika is my favorite. Also Zeitinia, but it can be loud. |
| OP will not be able to get a reservation at Rasika this late. She could maybe eat at the bar. |
Zola closed. The restaurant that took its place is called Nopa. |
| zaytinya isn't too far and is always amazing |
