These days everyone has credit cards or debit cards. But, a lot of people still use cash. How much cash do you have around the house and in safety deposit boxes?
Just wondering. |
|
Zero.
I may have a few dollars in a drawer but only a few dollars. |
| $200 or so which is use for lunches out and other random things. I take more out when a big storm is in the forecast. |
| At any given time my husband and I collectively have roughly 0-$80 cash. Usually somewhere around $10-$40. We do not use cash very often. |
| None to speak of, really. Change in piggy banks. |
| $3,000 till it's gone then $3,000 more. That reminds me, I need to go to the bank. |
| I get out a couple of hundred every few weeks. |
|
My husband currently keeps about $4000 in "zombie money" in our home safe.
Plus $150-200 at any time in his nightstand. I try to have $50 in cash on me at all times. |
| My husband gets out a few hundred once a month or so for occasions when we need cash but we use credit cards 99% of the time. (paid off each month--have never held a balance). |
| Emerency cash of $400 just in case there is a huge loss of electricity that causes a cash economy to emerge until electric is retored. |
| lol, whats zombie money? if zombies arrive, money isn;t going to worth much... |

| I get $200-300 at the ATM and use that until I have about $50 left, then replenish. I don't use nearly as much cash as I used to but I do find that there are some parking lots downtown that don't take credit cards (and cost $20), I use cash for cab fares under $15, for lunches and coffee, etc. Lots of people, including my kids, seem to use debit cards for very small purchases. I guess I am old school and prefer cash. |
| I take out $20 or $40 every week to keep in my wallet for incidentals. |
| I have $2 in my wallet right now. I will probably go get $100 from the ATM later today, but soon enough I'll be walking around with just $2 again. I often raid the kids' piggy banks and leave IOUs when I need $20 for something. I use a credit card 95% of the time. |
