My wood furniture reeks

DH and I bought a house full of new furniture over the past 3 years. Have not gotten any new furniture in a year and a half. Oddly, the cheap furniture smelled for a few days and then was fine. It's the super expensive top of the line solid wood furniture that continues to reek and off-gas for a year and a half.
I am very sensitive to smells and am also pregnant. I am worried about the heavy laquer odor of this wood furniture. We have not gotten any furniture for the bedroom yet due to the strong smells wood furniture gives off. Not sure what to do. It is very hard to find low VOC adult furniture--we found a few pieces that were low VOC (and I can definitely tell) but they don't make bedroom sets. |
