What crazy food items have you ordered?

I just ordered 40 lbs of popcorn salt (24 28oz canisters) from Amazon because none of the grocery stores in my area carry popcorn salt any more, instead they all have this butter flavoring crap, and we make a lot of popcorn. But probably not that much. It was $26 with free Prime shipping.

I order 2 kg of salt-packed anchovies twice a year to make an Italian family specialty. Not sure if that's "crazy" or not. My husband recently bought $200 of a boutique soda he loved at a store he found that carried it -- nothing near our house has it and he likes to have one every day. MAybe that's crazy?

in particular the curiousity cola, but most of their line is really good. Around here I have seen it at Wegmans, not too many other places. And I would buy it online if I could find it there.

was going to order bee pollen. but then i read that people with allergies to pollen sometimes have reactions (Guess that should be a "duh" but I didn't think of it) so I didn't order it.

My BIL had this thing called the Bacon Explosion delivered to his door packed in dry ice. It's a huge thing about the size of a small dog and is basically chopped sausage and cheese tied up in bacon, encased in more bacon and then wrapped in extra bacon. I'm not kidding, this is a real product that actually exists.

What is popcorn salt, how is it different from regular salt?

One day I will give in and order apple cider jelly from Vermont. Still haven't managed to find it locally. (No, apple butter or apple jelly are not equivalents.)

We're not in the DC area anymore, otherwise I would take you up on your offer. I admit I didn't check Walmart but I try to avoid the place.

And for the PP, popcorn salt is finer than table salt, so it sticks to the popcorn better and it just tastes better. Kind of like the salt they put on the fries at McDonalds.
