Weekend vacation near a lake?

Looking for something other than the beach. How about a resort or cabin on a lake where kids can swim (lake or pool), fish, canoe, etc? Something within driving distance for two nights ideally.

Anything?

The Tides Inn or Rocky Gap?

Any other suggestions?

Nh won't work....this is a driving vacay from dc with four kids....it needs to be four hours or less (Md, Va, Wv, Pa).
