| Feel like having some ice cream. Anyone can recommend an ice cream place, that has light, not too sweet ice cream? Live in Bethesda but would travel for a tasty scoop of refreshing ice cream |

| I LOVE daiquiri ice from baskin Robbins. They only have it during the summer... Or the full fat strawberry Hagen Daz (haven't had it in yrs but holy moly is it good). The good ice cream place in Chevy Chase closed about 2 yrs ago.. So with a toddler we usually have it at home so there is less mess! |

| I am obsessed with tropical ice cream in Silver Spring. Fresh and interesting flavors. Love the coconut, peach, pineapple coconut....they have traditional flavors too. |

York Castle on 355 in Rockville has the best ice cream-- also has lots of Caribbean flavors.

Dolcezza is the only I find passable in the area (though I do hear goodnight about trickling springs).
I am an avid ice cream lover and make it myself, so I am vry spoiled. I only say that because I really want to open my own ice cream shop in the area (egg based). I love the stuff and have had people ask to pay for mine. It's a pipe dream but the area really needs a great spot that doesn't have grainy stuff of flavors too far removed from what you really crave (no green tea here). Sigh. |

| Does Thomas Sweet on Wisconsin in North Georgetown sell icecream? When we lived in Princeton the Thimas Sweet there did and it was good. Since moving here we usually go to Dairy Godmother for custard. |
