How many pizzas?

How many pizzas would you order for about 20 4 year olds and their parents at a birthday party? Most kids will probably bring just one parent, but some will bring 2. I think it will be about 30-35 adults. I want to make sure I have enough food!

Are you having just pizza or other food too? If just pizza, I think I'd get 15.

Assume 1.5 full slices per guest.

Most adults will eat one, and then whatever their child leaves on his/her plate.

8 slices per pizza at 1.5 slices per guest, and assuming 55 adults means...

77 slices divided by eight slices per pizza means...

9 or 10 pizzas.

Yikes really? I would get more like 10 or so. You can also get one or two of the pizzas doublesliced. When a child wants seconds, you would give them a smaller piece.

I order pizza for kids and adults probably about 20-25 people; half adults.

I asked the pizza place manager what he recommended. He said 7. People ate 3. (We had other food as well.) It's so hard to know b/c many adults don't eat at kid parties even when you let them know lunch will be served. But better too much than too little.

As an adult I wil eat 3 pieces or so. I guess I'm not the norm. If lunch is served I eat.
