Rahm Emanuel accepted Obama's offer of the position as Chief of Staff. Also, Roy Blunt has decided not to continue in the House leadership, so both parties will have some shake-ups in the House.
Blunt never lived up to my expectations, anyway. When he and Barney Frank were interviewed together about the economic meltdown, and he said he was going to be frank, I thought Frank would reply that he was going to be blunt. Instead, he too said he'd be frank. I then figured that Blunt would reply that if Barney was going to insist on being frank, then he'd have to be blunt. But he disappointed me. |
I know that is trivial, but I have to say it. I thought Obama was hot!, but then I saw Rahm. OMG!!!!! |
I think Obama is nice looking, but not "hot". Do most women really find him that good looking? |
He is attractive but just normally, in my opinion. I do have high hopes that he will make sticking-out ears trendy, since my DD has them, too ![]() |
Mine, too!
As for Obama, as that famous hottie Henry Kissinger said, "Power is the ultimate aphrodisiac." |
Nope, not at all. However, I read some weird study once where scientists figured out what makes people (physically) attractive and the answer was captivating eyes and broad smile - brittany spears, brad pitt, JFK, etc. Although "captivating eyes and broad smile" are rather subjective terms. Is it me, or does Obama seemed to have aged? |
I read that it is facial symmetry that defines attractiveness. |
Does it make Emanuel sexy that he once sent some human feces to an opponent? What a class act. |
Frankly, I must be blunt and say that your humor was lost on this crowd. I appreciated it, however. |
In all candor, I do not get it, Jeff. Can you be a bit less circumspect? |
Seriously? The OP's messages was one giant pun based on the names "Frank" and "Blunt". He thought Barney Frank should be "blunt" and Roy Blunt should be "frank". I thought his message was hilarious, but then my mind in nearly as warped as OP's (emphasis on "nearly"). |
It wasn't lost. I am sure lots of us "got it". But Blunt (by virtue of being a parent) has friends on this board who simply didn't want to extend the thread. |
I'd think that it's so obvious that being blunt is a form of being apparent that it's hardly worth noting. BTW, your typing is a bit careless. ![]() ![]() |
I was joking! In all candor? circumspect? Frank! Blunt! |
Yeah, that occurred to me later. But, at 6:47 am it flew right over my head. A couple hours later I was wondering if anyone would notice if I deleted my post, but then decided I couldn't get away with it. |
