Just signed up to have my son attend a class and was interested what tyoes of experience other parents have/had at musikids.

We go the class with Miss Bonnie. She seems very sweet and enthusiastic. I had eye-rolled a little bit about taking my 11 m.o. to music class, but he LOVED it and now at 14 m. dances around our house (so CUTE). I don't know if it's that 'educational', but the kids seem to love it.

Didn't think it was that great. I love going to my DD's classes, but I was so bored at this one. I was just waiting for the class to be over. Many of my friends felt the same way.

I think it really depends on the teacher.

We are in Music Together and enjoy it so much more.

We've been doing a Saturday class at the one in Bethesda for a whole year now and really like it. Our teachers - Sarene and Tara - have been outstanding. Lots of energy and new ideas. Our daughter loves it and now at almost 2 requests songs from class to sing together on a daily basis. We love how she's picked up on it, and of course it cracks us up to see her doing the hand motions and filling in the words. I think a lot of these classes depend on the many variables - the dynamic of the students and parents in the class, the particular kids' temperament/personality and of course the teacher. So for us, it's been great and needless to say, I recommend.

For those who loved Musikids, which classes did you take? Could you reccomend one for and 11 month old?

Get a class with Michelle or Jill.

I took a class with Sarene and it was okay. She did the same thing week after week and it got tired. Also, don't show up to class in a Bugaboo. She will make comments.
