Did you know you miscarried before it was confirmed?

I am almost 9 weeks and have had bad nausea for a few weeks. Yesterday, I felt pretty darn decent all day, which was unusual. So far today, the same. I have had no bleeding, cramping etc. I just wondered what the symptoms you all may have had early-on before you had a Dr. confirm. I don't have another appointment for a few weeks and don't really want to call the office for an earlier appointment unless I am pretty sure.

Thanks for any insight.

I am 24 weeks now and I remember some days just being better than others around that time... maybe you are just having a good day. I was conerned too because I was having alot of cramping too... apparently normal. Best of luck!

Try not to worry (easier said than done, i know!). With both my first and now pregnant with #2, my nausea got a lot better around 8-9 weeks. Unless you start really having signs such as cramping or bleeding (which still doesn't necessarily mean anything-- I had spotting on and off with #1 until week 14), everything is probably fine.

I thought the same thing a handful of times in my first trimester - would wake up and feel back to normal, instead of the usual race to get something in my stomach before I threw up. All was fine and the nausea would eventually come back with a vengeance.

Try not to worry yourself too much, but definitely do call your doctor if you really think something is wrong. For what it's worth, mine also warned me that a lot of women have period-like cramps around 8-10 weeks and not to be overly concerned. I was really glad he'd told me that, since cramps on top of spotting at 6-7 weeks and those random no-nausea days really would've scared me.

The sad truth is that in the early weeks and months, you can lose a pregnancy without any dramatic symptoms, and you can experience all those same symptoms without actually losing the pregnancy. I've experienced both. So you have to try not to assume anything until and unless your doctor identifies a problem. There are no guarantees and very little you can do at this stage to prevent bad things from happening. It's awful, I know, but somehow we all find a way to live with the uncertainty until you reach that point where you can feel the baby moving around (and even then, I still worry every day!) Good luck!

I miscarried #1 - for pregnancy #2 everything that changed was stressful.

With pregnancy #2, I felt I had a feeling of nausea for weeks 6 - 8 (never got sick) and then it stopped. I was very concerned but everything wound up being fine and I now have a fabulous pre-schooler.

Try and relax as there are going to be lots of challenges throughout your child's life - and from personal experience I can tell you if it is a miscarriage - there is nothing you can do about it. [sorry if this sounds harsh]
