Thoughts/house recommendations in Shirlington?

We are thinking of looking around the Shirlington area. Love visiting the village restaurants and think it could be fun to live around there and be able to walk. What is the feel of the neighborhood?

Are there any great houses for sale in particular neighborhoods that you'd recommend/know of? We're looking to stay under 750. We'd love 3 or 4 bedrooms. Definitely want to be a short walk to the Village. Townhouse is fine but don't really want a condo. Do houses move quickly around here?

There aren'y any single family homes with that many bedrooms near Shirlington. There are new townhomes that are within your price range. Fairington, just above Shirlington, is an historic community of row homes and apartments. You could find a three bedroom townhouse there.

What about Shirlington Crest? We live there and LOVE it! Awesome neighbors who are friendly and socialize, tons of little kids, easy walk to the Village and really beautiful new houses. There are two for sale now. Come join our community!

Look at the townhouses in Windgate. It has a nice village feel. There are a few single family houses in Claremont off Walter Reed Dr which may be a mile to Shirlington
