Beach vacation with two small children-- ideas please!

Anonymous
We have an opportunity to head somewhere next week (July 7 week), and we'd love to try for a little beach getaway. We don't mind driving a few hours. We have a two year old and an infant. Am I crazy to think we can find accommodations somewhere for a few days that week? I'd love to hear some suggestions.

you can probably get a hotel in Ocean City. Get an oceanfront room with the balcony---
We did this last summer at the Carousel with those ages. The 2 year old enjoyed standing on the balcony and seeing the kites/ parasailors, etc. We could sit on the balcony and sip wine while the kids napped- went to bed early, etc. Everyone liked playing in the sand.

Can't say where ~ but don't get a place with a balcony. Too much worry.

you really feel that way??? I don't find having small children on the balcony worrisome in the least. In fact I really enjoy it. I wouldn't leave them out unsupervised- but at those ages I wouldn't leave them anywhere unsupervised.
We have small children- and always get balconies if we can b/c it gives us somewhere to go when they are sleeping.

come to the jersey shore! lots of rentals avail. beaches are beautiful and sadly not yet crowded, still lots of rebuilding needes to be done but everythi.g is cleaned up, businesses are rebuilt and open for action. try point pleasant, lavallette, seaside, all family friendly and ready for visitors.
